Milestones
On this very day there are parents of 11 month old babies everywhere celebrating their baby’s next developmental milestone. Today, we are acknowledging Pepper’s 100th seizure. Over the last 24 hours, Pepper had another cluster of seizures which put us right up to 100 in total. What does that mean, you ask? Not even seeing it twelve times in one day. Having spent most of the summer in and out of hospital...

Pepper was at that time, a day shy of turning 9 months old and we had just had a sleepless night. I needed coffee and headed into town, while Cuong and the kids, my cousin Tanya and her family held down the fort. Upon my return, I was greeted by the group in the great room and we sat down to plan out our day. Twenty minutes after sitting down, it all started. Pepper had a seizure. We didn’t know it at the time, but this was to be...
