Dear Santa

Posted on Jan 4, 2017 by in Blog | 0 comments

We didn’t want Pepper to be left out of writing a letter to Santa this year so we decided we would write one to him on her behalf. Big brother asks Santa for a miracle for Pepper every year. This year, it was her turn to ask:

Dear Santa,
This Christmas I am at a new school. I have been a very good girl this year, and here is a list of the things I would like for Christmas:

Dear Santa:
If you could make my legs do what I ask,
I could run to my friends; it wouldn’t be such a task.
I could dance in the classroom and run with my mates,
I could climb on the playground and run through gates!
If you could help me to speak, I could sing out a song.
I could tell my friends I love them, and that nothing is wrong.
I could whisper some secrets and tell a great story,
About when I was silent and my parents full of worry.
If you could guide my hands, I would hold my friends tight,
And I could give them a hug with all of my might.
I could make them some drawings which they could take home,
And with them they’ll know, they are never alone.
Dear Santa, there is no toy or game I would want or choose.
I only need the ability of my body to use.
Instead of presents and things I may outgrow,
There is only one thing I want my friends to know.
Even though I cannot do these things right now, I confess:
Because they are my friends, I feel very blessed.
Thank you for all you have given!
Please fly safe on Christmas Eve and please give Mrs. Claus a hug from me.
Love,
Pepper
